    For optimal computer performance and compatibility on the Rockefeller network, IT maintains a growing list of recommended software, hardware and system guidelines listed below. Recommedations fall under two general categories: recommended and supported. Recommended indicates that the software or hardware item in question provides the best all-around functionality. Supported items are added on a case by case basis. Assistance for unsupported items is provided on a "best effort" basis.
